    New lights for more play at Jordan Soccer Complex

    Operating hours for Jordan Soccer Complex will expand following the addition of new lights. Light installations wrapped up on Oct. 22. New lights allow for more competition and play on all fields. The soccer complex includes eight fields, public parking and access to the Cape Fear River Trail.

    Community Fall plantings scheduled for downtown area

    The City of Fayetteville and Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) are partners for two fall plantings in the downtown area. The plantings will take place on October 7 and October 18. The Oct. 7 plantings will involve placing leafy greens and flowers inside the “Hurley Pots” along Hay St.

    Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation (FCPR) Adaptive Sports athletes resume play Saturday, September 11. Anyone is welcome to watch the Flag Football games at the universally accessible field outside Massey Hill Recreation Center. Game times are 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
