City of Fayetteville and Manna Church leaders will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Manna Dream Center shelter at Person Street on Friday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. The Center is located at 913 Person Street. A tour of the upgraded space will follow the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The East Coast Greenway now includes two new parts of Fayetteville’s trail system. The Cape Fear River Trail Part C and Linear Park Connector Trail, are designated parts of the East Coast Greenway. The Greenway is a developing walking and biking route that spans 3,000 miles from Maine to Florida.

The new exhibit: “African Americans on the River” opens Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Fayetteville History Museum. This exhibit honors Black History Month and will become a semi-permanent feature in the Museum. Admission is free to the Museum and galleries are open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
