Downtown Railroad Construction Detours
Due to construction at multiple Downtown railroad crossings, Routes 3, 4, 5 & 8 will operate on a detour beginning February 10th, 2025 (Route 4 Hillsboro Street/Ramsey Street/Ray Avenue/Rowan Street area) and February 11th, 2025 (Hay Street/Franklin Street/Winslow Street/Russell Street area). These closures are expected to last 2-3 days.
Residents and visitors to the area are advised to plan accordingly for alternative routes and allow for additional travel time to and from destinations.

MLK Parade Detour
Due to the rescheduled Martin Luther King parade, Routes 3, 4, 5, & 8 will operate on a detour Saturday, February 8th, 2025.

Bus Stop Relocation
Due to the construction of the new Crown Event Center, FAST will be deactivating the Route 5 stop on Ottis Jones Parkway. A sign was posted at the stop on November 25, 2024, that notifies the public that the stop will become inactive on December 23, 2024. Operators will provide a courtesy stop to riders safely along Ottis Jones Parkway.

Maiden Lane/Ray Avenue Closure - Routes 4 and 5 Detour
Due to road and utility construction on Ray Avenue and Maiden Lane beginning September 30, 2024, Routes 4 & 5 will operate on a detour until further notice.

Bus Stop Service Change (Route 4/Country Club Drive)
Effective June 21st, 2024, Route 4 will no longer serve the bus stop in front of Carter Bank and Trust on Country Club Road. Route 11 will continue to serve the stop.

Inactive Stop- (Route 31/Gillespie St.)
Effective March 18, Route 31 will no longer service the bus stop on Gillespie Street by the DMV/ Board of Education.

Bus Stop Relocation (Walmart-Skibo Rd.)-Until Further Notice
The Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) will be relocating the bus stop at Walmart on Skibo Rd. The bus stop near the Grocery pick-up and delivery will be moved to the opposite end near the Home and Pharmacy entrance. The new location will be a short, walkable distance away from the current stop. There will be no change to the schedule timing or route direction. Until the relocation of the signage and shelter is completed, customers are asked to utilize the temporary stop in front of Hook and Reel Cajun & Seafood Bar.
