Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation department (FCPR) will update their fee schedule starting on Sept. 1. The fee increase will affect various programs and services, including summer camps, after-school programs, youth sports.

Beginning Nov. 11, the Fayetteville Regional Airport is expanding operations with a new flight. Delta Airlines has added a fourth daily flight to and from Atlanta. The additional flight will better serve travelers and shorten layover times when flying through Atlanta.

Tropical Storm Debby has moved beyond the City of Fayetteville. Fayetteville Fire Department conducted one evacuation during Tropical Storm Debby. Fourteen people and one pet were moved by the Fayetteville Area Transit System and Parks and Recreation vehicles to Westover Recreation Center.
