The City of Fayetteville has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). The City won for its annual budget document for Fiscal Year 2024, which began in July 2023.

A total of 10,248 people visited the Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation’s pools from May 27 to June 2. Lake Rim Park Aquatic Center saw the most opening week visits with 4,198 people. As temperatures warm and the school year ends, pool attendance is expected to rise.
