Public ribbon cutting ceremony for new splash pad
Fayetteville’s newest splash pad is set to open at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 21 at 10 a.m. The new splash pad is located at 1455 Hoke Loop Road, outside Lake Rim Recreation Center.

Juneteenth holiday closure and schedules
City of Fayetteville government offices will be closed on Monday, June 20, to observe the Juneteenth Holiday. In January, Fayetteville City Council members voted to change the City ordinance and add Juneteenth as a holiday for the first time in City government history.

New lifeguards ready for assignments; positions still open
Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation (FCPR) pools open on Memorial Day and lifeguards are ready for summer assignments. Nearly 50 lifeguards completed orientation on Saturday, May 21 at the Keith A. Bates, Sr. Pool at College Lakes Recreation Center on Rosehill Road.
