Public inauguration for City Council August 11
Fayetteville City Council members who won their seat in the recent election will participate in an inauguration ceremony on Thursday, August 11 at 6 p.m. The ceremony will take place inside Seabrook Auditorium at Fayetteville State University.

FAST veteran Tyffany Neal promoted to Director
– City of Fayetteville leaders are pleased to announce Tyffany Neal has been named as the new Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) Director. Neal succeeds Randy Hume, who retires in September. When she begins her new role in August, Neal will become the first female Director of FAST.

New speed limits to be enforced
New speed limits will be enforced on sections of Cliffdale Road, Pamalee Drive/Country Club Drive and Stoney Point Road beginning Wednesday, July 27. City Council members approved the changes during the June 13 Regular Meeting.

Fayetteville to break ground on second Senior Center
City of Fayetteville leaders will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the future Senior Center East on Monday, July 18 at 10 a.m., at the 917 Washington Drive location. This will be the second facility of its kind in recent years opened by Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation.

Housing Manager wants to connect with residents & transform communities
It’s hard to miss the housing headlines online and on TV. Recently, the Oakridge Estates neighborhood off Bunce Road was completed. The City of Fayetteville provided money for the project. Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity helped develop the homes.
