Fayetteville City Attorney Karen McDonald became the President of the North Carolina Association of Municipal Attorneys (NCAMA) during their Annual Summer Conference. McDonald will serve a one-year term as President.

Beginning August 2, City of Fayetteville Government employees and people inside City buildings will be required to wear masks. Also, people who ride inside City vehicles will be required to wear masks.

City employees responded to a call for blood donors. In March, the Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center had about 1/3 of its normal supplies.

The splash pad is now open. It is located outside the recreation center at 1600 Purdue Drive. The recreation center is closed for renovations. The estimated completion date for renovations is June 2022. The Center is the hub for Special Olympics Cumberland County.
