ShotSpotter Hosting Fayetteville Information Sessions
Representatives from ShotSpotter will be in Fayetteville on three dates to host community information sessions. The community is invited and welcome to attend one of three options either in person or virtually.

Airport enhances passenger experience, terminal unveiling set for Dec. 7
Fayetteville Regional Airport will host a public unveiling event highlighting new updates from Terminal Renovations Phase II on December 7 at 10:30 a.m. This event held upstairs in the main FAY terminal located at 400 Airport Road is open to the public.

Parking area closure downtown for stormwater improvements
Parking areas along Person Street between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be closed on Tuesday, November 29 to allow for the cleaning and restoration of permeable pavers along the Person Street Greenstreet. While parking is closed, businesses will remain accessible throughout the day.

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation’s Christmas in the Park will begin on Sunday, December 4, 2022, in Arnette Park located at 2165 Wilmington Highway.

Thanksgiving Holiday closures and schedules
City of Fayetteville Government offices will be closed on November 24 and 25 to observe the Thanksgiving holiday. Please see the following holiday schedules for the Police Department, Solid Waste Division, Fayetteville Regional Airport, Fayetteville Area System of Transit and Parks & Recreation.

Loose Leaf Season Dates Set for Residential Pickup
Loose Leaf Season pickup service will begin in Fayetteville on Monday, November 21, 2022. Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation personnel will be using specialized equipment to collect residential loose leaves by zip code. Collection will start with households in the 28314 zip code.
