The City of Fayetteville has been inducted onto the North Carolina Civil Rights Trail after City staff and religious, educational and local non-profit organizations partnered to highlight the 1963 protests against segregation.

Councilwoman Jensen Elected to State Board of Directors
Councilwoman Kathy Jensen was elected to the North Carolina League of Municipalities (NCLM) Board of Directors announced May 2. Jensen joins the board representing Fayetteville in one of six large city seats, along with Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Greensboro.

Fayetteville veterans stand down offers free health and life services May 11

Deep Creek Road Closed for Railroad Maintenance
Southern Commercial Development will close the Deep Creek Road railroad crossing on Tuesday, May 2 at 7 a.m. The company will implement a detour around the closing as CSX Corp. performs maintenance on the crossing. Deep Creek Road is scheduled to reopen Wednesday, May 3 at 5 p.m.
