ECD to host computer classes for residents

(Fayetteville, N.C.) – The City of Fayetteville, in partnership with Cumberland County,  is hosting basic to intermediate computer skills classes throughout the year. The next class is April 11 for Basic Microsoft Skills. 

The City’s Economic and Community Development’s goal is to engage with neighborhoods, community partners, and the private sector to build a stronger economy and community for all residents. They offer a variety of neighborhood resources such as community classes to improve the quality of life across the City and to promote neighborhood pride amongst our residents. 

The Economic and Community Development Department partners with Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation to present the classes, and Cumberland County Library personnel conducts the trainings. 

All classes are offered at Smith Recreation Center located at 1520 Slater Ave., from 2 to 3:30 p.m. 

The remaining computer classes are listed below. 

  • April 11 Microsoft Excel Basic 

  • April 13 Microsoft Word Intermediate 

  • May 9 Zoom 

  • May 11 Google Docs 

  • September 12 Google Drive 

  • September 14 Google Forms 

  • October 3 Shopping Online 

  • October 12 Email Basic 

  • November 7 Facebook 

  • November 14 Online Safety and Security 

  • December 5 Computer Use Basic 

  • December 12 Laptop Basic
