New Additions to Economic and Community Development

ECDstff_spotlightRaven McKoy is a Community Relations Specialist. She began her new position in February 2021. McKoy has a background in Community engagement, communications and public relations. Previously, she was a Community Engagement Coordinator for The North Carolina Justice Center where she advocated for economic security for families across North Carolina. She worked closely with Pathways for Prosperity, a local coalition that focuses on reducing generational poverty in Fayetteville. McKoy is working to revamp the ECD web page. She is also working with several departments to collect social, economic, housing and safety data indicators for the City’s Quality of Life Project. McKoy earned her Master of Public Administration degree from East Carolina University.

Sally Black is a Senior Administrative Assistant. Black has worked for the City of Fayetteville for a total of more than 15 years. She worked as an Office Assistant II in the City’s Stormwater Services Department from 2000-2014. Black left for a while to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from American InterContinental University. Black has also worked as an Elementary School Bookkeeper with Cumberland County Schools. She returned to the City in March 2020 as an Administrative Assistant in the Finance Department. In March 2021, she was promoted to Senior Administrative Assistant in the Economic and Community Development Department. Black’s assignments include accounts payable, deposits, budget revisions, budget monitoring and more.
