Throughout the year, the City of Fayetteville supports the United Way of Cumberland County (UWCC). Nearly 40 City employees registered to participate in the UWCC Annual Campaign Kickoff event on August 26.

After 30 years and three months of dedicated service to the City of Fayetteville, Larry White retired on October 1, 2021. Larry was hired on July 14, 1991 with Cumberland County. He worked out of Arnette Park his entire career with the City, as a Maintenance Worker.

Be inspired! Health & Wellness Specialist Kristen Biedermann completed a 13-mile race in August. She finished the Spartan Beast Half Marathon in Glen Jean, West Virginia.

A great idea became a reality at the August 24 Murchison Choice neighborhood meeting. The in person meeting was canceled due to COVID concerns. That did not stop the Economic and Community Development team from collecting feedback.
