Criminal Investigation Leads to Officer Arrest

The Fayetteville Police Department arrested Officer Tamyra Billings (Black, Female, 31 years old), on Nov. 29 and charged her with two counts of Misdemeanor Obstruction of Justice, one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana and one count of Willfully Failing to Discharge Duties.

The City of Fayetteville launched the “ShotSpotter Fayetteville” webpage on Nov. 15 to provide City residents with timely and accurate data. ShotSpotter is a gunfire detection technology provided by Sound Thinking that uses acoustic sensors, or microphones, placed in a designated area of deployment.
