Victim Succumbs to Injuries

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit were notified earlier this morning that Jeffrey Ander Brewington (I/M, 62 years of age) died at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.  Mr. Brewington was discovered beaten inside of his home late Friday night along the 2100 block of Goins Drive, when officers were dispatched to his home in reference to a well-being check.

 

Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating the beating death and additional information will be released as it becomes available.  Property was missing from Mr. Brewington’s home and anyone with information is asked to contact detectives or Crimestoppers.

Subject Beaten Inside Home

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Friday, April 21, 2017 at approximately 9:30 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a residence along the 2100 block of Goins Drive in reference to a well-being check.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the responding officers located a male subject inside of the residence that had been beaten and left unconscious.  The victim was immediately transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is listed in serious condition.

Detectives with the FPD’s Aggravated Assault Unit are currently investigating the assault and additional information will be released as it becomes available. The name of the victim is being withheld until his immediate family has been notified
