Wanted Suspect Apprehended in Florida
(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT), along with members from the U.S. Marshal Service, have located and arrested a suspect in Florida, who had outstanding warrants for 1st Degree Murder and numerous other felonies in Fayetteville.
Robert Michael Linton (B/M, 28 years of age), of the 4100 block of Jopy Circle, Fayetteville, has been extradited to back to Fayetteville and has been charged with the following:
- Attempted Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury which occurred on August 16, 2015.
- Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon (3 counts), Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Attempted Robbery which occurred on October 13, 2016.
- 1st Degree Murder for the homicide of Karlos Bembury which occurred on October 16, 2016.
- Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon which occurred on November 23, 2016.

Linton is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.
