(Fayetteville, NC) – On Thursday, March 16, 2017 at approximately 10:22 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team responded to the 100 block of Sycamore Court after learning of the whereabouts of a wanted suspect.
Officers were attempting to make contact with Patrick Earl Gatson (B/M, 32 years of age), who has active warrants for Common Law Robbery and Felony Possession of Stolen Goods. The Common Law Robbery took place on March 14, 2017 at approximately 12:25 pm along the 700 block of Ramsey Street.

The FPD's Crisis Negotiator's Team along with the assistance of the department’s Emergency Response Team, two highly trained units that spend countless hours training to handle situations where a subject appears to be in emotional distress, were contacted to ensure the safety of everyone involved, and are currently on scene working to bring this conflict to a peaceful resolution.
Any media responding to the scene is asked to assemble at the intersection of North Street and Drake Street.
