Shooting Investigation
(Fayetteville, NC) – On Wednesday, January 25, 2016 at approximately 11:08 am Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting along the 500 block of Moore Street.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a male victim was walking along the 500 block of Moore Street when an unknown vehicle pulled alongside the victim and began firing shots. The male victim was struck by the gunshots and was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
Detectives with FPD are actively investigating the shooting and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
The name of the victim is currently being withheld until detectives can contact the victim's immediate family.
