FPD Requests Public Assistance Identifying Suspect
(Fayetteville, NC) – On Saturday, November 26, 2016 at approximately 4:27 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to 2326 Owen Drive in reference to a report of a larceny from “Circle K.”
The preliminary investigation revealed that a black male suspect dressed in a green jacket and blue jeans entered the business and asked the clerk for a carton of cigarettes. The clerk retrieved the cigarettes and told the suspect how much money was due. The suspect then walked behind the sales counter, picked up numerous cartons of “Newport 100” cigarettes, and left the business with the merchandise without making payment.
Detectives have obtained video surveillance of the larceny and are requesting anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to contact them. Detectives have obtained information that leads them to believe this suspect may be involved in other criminal activities throughout the city.
