Business Robbery

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Friday, October 14, 2016 at approximately 1:38 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to Kangaroo Express located at 1764 Ireland Drive in reference to a report of a business robbery.

                                                                                          

The preliminary investigation revealed an employee was inside the business when a suspect entered the store, brandished a gun and began demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and items belonging to the business. The suspect was then seen fleeing across Ireland Drive on foot, where he  got into an unknown make and model vehicle that was waiting. The vehicle was last seen heading inbound on Raeford Road and the employee at the business was unharmed.

 

Suspect is described as a Black Male, 5’9”-5’11”, 160-165lbs, wearing a red hoody with a red bandanna covering his face, blue jeans and white gloves. Detectives were able to obtain video from the incident and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect.

Detectives with the FPD’s Robbery Unit are currently investigating the robbery and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
