Homicide Investigation Update
(Fayetteville, NC)- Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified the decedent who was shot on January 1, 2025, when officers responded to a reported shooting at the Motel 6 located in the 3700 block of Bragg Boulevard.
The decedent has been identified as Donquiez Wilbridge (Black male, 36 years of age), of Fayetteville, NC. His next of kin has been notified.
The Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers program is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information submitted to Crimestoppers that leads to an arrest.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Homicide Investigation
(Fayetteville, NC)- On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at approximately 3:22 AM, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a reported shooting at the Motel 6 located in the 3700 block of Bragg Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they succumbed to their injuries.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating this homicide, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
