Traffic Fatality

(Fayetteville, NC) – On December 16, 2024, at approximately 9:08 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the intersection of Raeford Road at Pinewood Terrace in reference to a pedestrian struck.

The pedestrian was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they succumbed to their injuries.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
