Homicide Investigation Update
(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified the decedent who was shot on December 14, 2024, when officers responded to a shooting in the area of 6500 Amanda Circle after receiving 911 calls reporting the incident.
The decedent has been identified as Carlos Person Jr. (Black male, 24 years old). His next of kin has been notified.
Detectives continue to seek information, and anyone with details is encouraged to contact detectives or Crimestoppers.
Homicide Investigation
(Fayetteville, NC) -On December 14, 2024, at approximately 4:08 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the area of 6500 Amanda Circle after receiving 911 calls of a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a subject suffering from a gunshot wound in the roadway. The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they were pronounced deceased.
This does not appear to be a random act.
