Update to Barricaded Suspect Arrested for Homicide 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Friday, October 27, 2023 Raeqwon Mitchell Carlisle (Black male, 28 years of age) of Fayetteville, NC was arrested and charged in the shooting death of Crystal Michelle Loughran that occurred in the area Fieldcrest Street and Cedric Street on October 11, 2023. Carlisle was charged with First Degree Murder and is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.  

 

Update to Barricaded Wanted Suspect In Custody

On Friday, October 27th, members of the Fayetteville Police Departments Violent Crime Apprehension Team, (VCAT) received information on the location of a wanted subject being at a residence along the 5600 block of Mesa Drive.

The wanted subject, has now been identified as Raeqwon Mitchell Carlisle (Black male, 28 years of age) of Fayetteville, NC. Carlisle is wanted for the First-Degree Murder of Crystal Michelle Loughran that occurred in the area Fieldcrest Street and Cedric Street on October 11, 2023.

At approximately 6:14 a.m. Members of Fayetteville Police Department’s, Violent Criminal Apprehension Team and Gang Unit arrived at the residence along the 5600 block of Mesa Drive. During the attempt to apprehend Carlisle, he barricaded himself inside of the residence.

Shortly after Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) and Emergency Response Team responded to the scene and began negotiation. After hours of negotiations Carlisle surrendered peacefully with the assistance of his family members on scene. Carlisle was apprehended safe and sound without incident.

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Friday, October 27th, members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team, (VCAT) received information on the location of a wanted subject for First Degree Murder being at a residence along the 5600 block of Mesa Drive.  

Members of Fayetteville Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, Violent Criminal Apprehension Team and Fayetteville Police Department’s Gang Unit are currently on scene. 

Additional information will be provided as it becomes available. 

Motorist are asked to use precautions when traveling along Santa Fe Drive near the intersection of Yadkin Road.
