Investigation Into Wanted Individual Leads to Additional Charges
(Fayetteville, NC) – One individual with federal warrants has been arrested and charged with additional drug offenses.
On September 6, 2023, detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Narcotics Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU), Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT), and the Hope Mills Police Department served federal warrants on Korey McLean (black male, 42 years old) at a residence located at the 4200 block of High Stakes Circle in Hope Mills, NC.
During the arrest, officers noticed obvious signs of drug activity inside the residence. Officers obtained a search warrant and seized the following:
- 146 grams of Fentanyl
- 526 grams of Marijuana
- 3.96 grams of Oxycodone
- A hydraulic press for manufacturing bricks of Fentanyl
Korey McLean was charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana, and Maintaining a Dwelling for Sale of Controlled Substances. McLean is currently being at the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.
