Update to Vehicle Crash – Road Closure
(Fayetteville, NC) – Cedar Creek Road is back open to motorists.
The preliminary investigation has revealed a black Kawasaki EX650 motorcycle operated by a white male was traveling inbound on Cedar Creek Road at a high rate of speed. A silver Honda Accord made a left turn from Cedar Creek Road onto Sapona Road when the collision occurred.
The motorcyclist is in critical condition. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Vehicle Crash - Road Closure
(Fayetteville, NC) – Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit actively investigating a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle along the 300 block of Cedar Creek Road.


On July 30, 2023 at 8:41 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle crash along the 300 block of Cedar Creek Road involving a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The motorcyclist is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.
All lanes of travel are closed on Cedar Creek Road from Sapona Road to Neal Street. It is unknown when the road will reopen. Inbound traffic on Cedar Creek Road is being diverted onto Neal Street and outbound traffic on Cedar Creek Road is being diverted onto Sapona Road.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route. Additional information will be release as it becomes available.
