All suspects, and persons charged with a crime, are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Persons of interest are believed to have information relating to a case, and have not been charged unless stated otherwise.

 

Death Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to a residence along the 1900 block of Tryon Drive reference to an unconscious male on May 6, 2023.

On May 6, 2023, at 4:28 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to a residence along the 1900 block of Tryon Drive for a call of an unconscious male. Officers and Emergency Medical Service personnel arrived at the residence locating the unconscious male, and began life-saving measures. Emergency Medical Service personnel transported the unconscious male to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. At this time, the decedent’s identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The circumstances surrounding the decedent’s death remain under investigation by members of the Fayetteville Police Departments Homicide Unit. This does not appear to be a random act. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
